The WD Blue 2.5″ WD10SPZX hard drive can be used as a system drive or paired with a faster SSD drive. Equipped with an energy-efficient controller that works in conjunction with a large buffer (128 MB). This model uses tiled magnetic recording (SMR) technology to achieve high capacity, and the magnetic platters themselves rotate at a speed of 5400 rpm. This provides low heat dissipation (up to 1.5 W with active use), which is important for dense mobile computer layouts. Connects to SATA3 port, backwards compatible with SATA and SATA2 interfaces.

I have been using computers for twenty-five years and this is the first drive that I have ever used. The interesting thing is that I have used it quite a bit. Before that, I had drives from Western Digital, both the Blue and Green series. They have all been working for more than 5 years, almost every day. This one worked for two years, with inactive use, because the main system for me is the PC, and the laptop was like an auxiliary system. One day I noticed that Windows started to load very slowly. Everything works, but everything is very slow. It feels like instead of 5400 rpm, the drive rotates at barely 500 rpm. At the same time, the computer is simply boiling with the desire to do something and start it. (no, not overheating). I reinstalled the system. It didn't help. I took the drive from another laptop, turned it over and started it. Everything is fine. The speed returned, everything starts, nothing slows down. It worked for me for only about two years. Which is very little. The laptop has never fallen, and in general I have always used it almost always at home. So I would not recommend this HDD, it is very unreliable in my opinion.
