Decided to break free from the apple slavery and switch to Android, I wanted something useful yet affordable, naturally, I chose "Xiaomi" :) Initially, coming from iOS, the minor shortcomings of the MiUI interface caught my eye, like text not fitting or an icon out of place, but these are just small details and after about a week I stopped noticing them. In terms of specs, the smartphone is top-notch for its value (as is the case with most Xiaomi phones): the latest processor, plenty of RAM, a cool display (I'm quite convinced Amoled displays surpass IPS by far). With such specs, it's a shame for the smartphone to lag. I want to especially highlight the camera; it’s simply divine, photos are vivid and sharp, portraits have good blur, and the night mode is quite decent. Plus, you can install the Google camera which can further enhance photos in some situations. For games, if anyone is curious, it runs everything, doesn't overheat much (I don’t play games for long periods so I’m not sure about throttling), PABG, Call Of Duty, Tacticool run without issues. The battery holds up well, easily lasts a day with moderate use. The only downsides I can point out are the lack of memory expansion through microSD, a single mono speaker, and initially, the absence of a headphone jack was annoying since I used wired headphones that needed an adapter, it's inconvenient, too many wires, and all that ;). But then I bought Bluetooth headphones (also Xiaomi) and all the inconvenience vanished. + Powerful + Camera + Pleasant to the touch + Display + Fast wireless charging at 20W (haven't tried, but it's undoubtedly a plus) + Price +/- MiUI - Monodyna - Lack of a miniJack port (not a disadvantage for everyone) - No support for memory cards - No water resistance - +/- MiUI ![]() |
A very good smartphone both in terms of build quality, firmware, appearance, functionality high quality, fast, convenient, light, good screen, charges very quickly The button on the left to call the assistant or how you configure it is constantly pressed involuntarily when using the phone. It's annoying. Turned it off completely. The battery could have been set to 4000 mA. use Xiaomi Mi 9 128GB/6GB few months |
I recommend Value for money. The battery lasts for a day of active use. In conversation mode + Viber, one and a half two, screen mode is automatic and the theme and screensaver is black. Really happy with the device. Before this I used LG G4. The camera is great. In your hand lies a superda with its original case. I don’t see the point of glass on the back cover; fingerprints remain at the slightest touch. The case that comes with the phone will help you. Protective glass is required for the CAMERA as well, the camera protrudes and when you place it on a flat surface the probability of scratching is 100 percent. ![]() |
Xiaomi continues to delight fans of the brand with affordable smartphones with flagship ambitions. At the dawn of 2019, the baton in the top Mi series was continued by the ninth generation of mobile devices “at maximum speed”.
Trending tricks
The smartphone uses a trendy technique with a glass gradient back (in two of three versions) and a neat teardrop-shaped cutout for a selfie camera on the front panel. Otherwise, over 90% of the space on the front of the case is occupied by a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution (2340x1080 pixels). The display has acquired support for displaying images in extended dynamic range (HDR10), has an expanded DCI-P3 color gamut, and its maximum brightness threshold is 600 cd/m².
No compromises
Inside, as expected, there is hardware without compromise: the strongest of the “dragons” from Qualcomm number 855, powerful Adreno 640 graphics, 6/8 GB of RAM and a built-in 128 GB storage(unfortunately, without the possibility of expanding memory). In games, all the computing power of the “filling” is directed in the right direction by the proprietary Game Turbo technology. With such data, the smartphone single-handedly topped the ranking of the most productive “mobile phones” in the AnTuTu test (at the time of the device’s announcement), earning a track record of nearly 400 thousand “parrots”.
Three-story chamber
According to the authoritative resource DxOMark, the Xiaomi Mi 9 camera is recognized as the best in video shooting (99 points according to test results). However, the model also takes photographs, as befits a flagship: the triple module of the rear camera with a stabilization system produces a low-noise picture in low light conditions, quickly clings to the subject and yields the first lines of the podium in the Mobile Photography discipline to only a couple from Huawei (P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro). A 48 MP 1/2" format image sensor with high-aperture f/1.75 optics is assigned to the role of the leader in the “three-story” camera, and it is supported by a telephoto camera with a 12 MP matrix and a 16 MP “wide” with a field of view angle of 117°.
Additional assets
Additional assets of Xiaomi Mi 9 include a full set of communication modules, including an infrared port and an NFC chip, as well as a newfangled under-screen fingerprint scanner. The gadget’s 3,300 mAh battery “refuels” energy tanks using fast (from zero to “hundred” in 60 minutes at a power outlet) and wireless charging technologies. The only thing the device lacks is moisture protection of the case, which has long been taken for granted in flagship smartphones.
