Master in blue
It is not for nothing that the Bosch GST 18 V-LI S jigsaw wears the blue “livery” characteristic of the Bosch professional tool line. It doesn't have the coolest package (some models of DeWALT and Makita jigsaws are better packaged and have more features), but the reputation of the German brand speaks for itself. The Bosch inscription on the packaging promises that the tool will be able to work for a long time in the workshop or in production in a fairly intensive mode.
Everything you need, but nothing more
The jigsaw has an electronic speed control (in the range of 550 – 2700 strokes / min) and an adjustable pendulum mechanism. This allows you to flexibly adjust the tool to work with any materials: hard and soft woods, polymers, non-ferrous metals and steel. The large depth of cut (up to 120 mm when sawing wood and its derivatives) ensures that a tool equipped with the right blade will confidently cope with almost any task that may arise in the workshop. This is aided by a molded tilting sole for miter sawing and an LED light to illuminate the cutting line.
For those who are not inclined to change their favorite brand
The Bosch GST 18 V-LI S electric jigsaw (as well as the Bosch GST 18 V-LI S Professional 06015A5100 model, which is completely similar to it, which differs only in the shape of the handle) can be safely recommended to both professionals and experienced amateurs who do not doubt the "Bosch" quality.
The only drawback seen with this jigsaw is the lack of a battery and charger in the kit (probably assumed that fans of Bosch products already have them). But, fortunately, eighteen-volt batteries for a tool of this brand are not uncommon and can easily be bought separately. For work in the home workshop, we recommend choosing an inexpensive 1.5 Ah battery, but professionals should get high-capacity batteries (4 or 5 Ah).
