One of the worst models! Unfortunately, I trusted the company as one of the most reliable. This is already my third Electrolux boiler. The first was good, worked for about eight years, but I didn’t manage to replace the anode, and unfortunately, it started leaking, manufactured in Italy. The second boiler was also from Electrolux, but this time it was made in Spain; it worked for about five years when the tank burst, and I had to discard it. We purchased a third boiler, the Electrolux EWH 50 Formax, and it lasted only a year and a half. The same issue occurred; the tank burst, and the neighbors downstairs said “Thank you,” and my family was in shock. I was forced to use Electrolux because of the niche sizes. Unfortunately, another boiler wouldn't fit. We have another Electrolux boiler at home with a 100-liter capacity, but it’s already over twenty years old and is a real workhorse, Swedish made. Gentlemen, draw your own conclusions about whether you need such happiness or not. The Electrolux company has been ruined as much as possible! While Sweden was producing the equipment, the quality was excellent, but now it's just wasted money. Loved it when it was new! Leaked after a year and a half. The tank ruptured! Judging by the set of parameters, it is a good model. Convenient for horizontal installation. Everything worked for 4 years. Bought in 2017. It died in October 2021. Something happened. The metal at the end was bulged, and part of some insulation came out. I'm not sure what happened; the safety valve is operational. I bought a new one, certainly not the same one, which required me to alter the piping in the bathroom. So the 7-year warranty on the tank is worthless. The warranty is provided under the condition of connection and installation by a certified service center and annual maintenance. In this country, that's meaningless. Reliable and safe
A rectangular water heater of the Electrolux brand with a capacity of 100 liters can be classified as a mid-budget solution and is recommended for families of three to four people. The model is protected from corrosion thanks to an oversized magnesium anode and two heating elements that do not come into contact with water (“dry” technology). The reliability of the Electrolux EWH 100 Formax is confirmed by a 7-year warranty on the enamel tank.
The multi-level protection system, which excludes overheating, increased pressure and electric shock (residual current device - RCD), deserves special mention.
Convenient adjustments
The boiler has mechanical control and allows you to adjust the heating power. 3 modes are available: 800, 1200 or 2000 W. Forced power reduction will be useful in houses with old wiring.
The disadvantages of the model include slow heating to a maximum temperature of 75 ° C, which takes more than 3.5 hours. However, competitors' speeds are only slightly higher, and with Eco mode (up to 55°C) the process is faster and uses less power.
The Electrolux EWH 100 Formax is a worthy 100 liter boiler at a reasonable price.
