A flow-through gas water heater with optimized heating, presented on the market by the popular brand Electrolux. The heat exchanger is made using the unique NanoPro technology. Copper for the heat exchanger undergoes special treatment, which makes it more resistant to burnout and corrosion. The water heater is equipped with the INVERTER Control system, which is responsible for flame modulation, due to which the temperature will always be stable and accurate, regardless of the pressure and number of water intake points used.
The Electrolux GWH 285 ERN NanoPro flow-through gas water heater is equipped with an optimized burner. The number of gas burner nozzles has been reduced, but their size has been significantly increased. This step has minimized cases of flame extinction. In addition, the heating system is much quieter than in standard gas water heaters. The device has a power of 21.6 kW. The capacity of the heat exchanger is 11 l / min. An electric ignition system is available. Automatic ignition is battery-powered, which is easily replaced if necessary. A 110 mm diameter sleeve is connected to the chimney pipe. This column copes well with gas combustion, which minimizes harmful emissions.

Yesterday, 06/09/2024, I flushed the radiator, as the hot water pressure has decreased a lot. The column has been working for 14 years (I bought it back in 2009 at Yunosta in Kyiv for UAH 2,900) and this is the first repair, so to speak, that was carried out in this device, given that our water is of very poor quality. I didn’t want to buy a Chinese noname and bought this branded speaker. But, to be honest, it does not match the quality of the famous Electrolux brand. Compact, takes up very little space. At full pressure it produces a lot of really hot water. Taking a bath is a pleasure. Does not depend on power supply. The gas is ignited by a circuit powered by a battery. The heat exchanger is made of copper. There is a modulating burner, but in practice the modulation effect still needs to be looked for - it is very weakly expressed. Works well at low gas pressure. In winter, traditionally, the pressure in the gas main drops below the baseboard, but the water heater did not fail - not a single shutdown. There is a two-year warranty, but if you don’t call an official technician for annual mandatory paid maintenance, then the warranty ends after just a year. Not the best quality build. A lot of plastic, and not always well fitted. The adjustment knobs are loose and at the same time very difficult to turn. This can make it difficult to accurately adjust the water temperature. It makes noise with high water pressure and high gas supply. It turns off when the water pressure is low. Moreover, a pressure of 25-30% of the maximum is automatically considered weak. For example, for washing dishes 3-4 liters per minute are not needed, this is an extra consumption of both gas and water. Turns on with a bang. The sound is not strong and I understand that this is a completely acceptable desynchronization of the moment of formation of the air-gas mixture and the moment of the spark, but my wife is constantly nervous, she keeps imagining that one day the speaker may explode. So it would be better without these desyncs. |

The warranty is 24 months, and the Electrolux brand itself is a guarantee of quality/ It does not work very stably at low water pressure. Either the water is very hot or it turns off completely. Turns on with a bang. Sometimes the sound is muffled and you don’t pay attention to it, but sometimes it claps very decently. The service department said that this is normal behavior of a gas instantaneous water heater. |
