Inexpensive and lightweight boiler
The inexpensive model of the Hotpoint-Ariston BLU1 R 50 V 1.5K PL DRY electric pressure water heater has a light weight of 16 kg and compact dimensions. Having a storage tank with a capacity of 50 liters, the boiler looks smaller than its "classmates". Such dimensions are associated with a reduced layer of thermal insulation, which does not exceed 18 mm. Despite this, daily heat losses, which are 0.96 kWh in a device heated to 60 °C, are at an average level.

However, this minus is compensated by many positive solutions implemented in the design of the model. The built-in NANOMIX splitter speeds up the mixing of incoming cold water with heated water, giving 20% more hot water at the outlet. The inner tank of the device, made of steel, is covered with an enamel protective layer TitanShield containing composite materials with active silver, which increases the antibacterial and anticorrosive resistance of the working surface. The manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty on the drive, additionally protected by a magnesium anode. The heating system consists of two “dry” heating elements with a total power of 1.5 kW, which allow heating a full tank of water up to 60 °C at Δt = 45 °С in 105 minutes. The maximum water heating temperature is 75 °C, which ensures that the internal tank is kept in an effective hygienic condition.
Missing Defense
You can control the device using a mechanical thermostat installed on the bottom cover of the case, and control the temperature using an external thermometer. Unfortunately, among the standard safety features there are no usual residual current devices (RCD) and protection against turning on when the tank is empty, and in the set of functions there are accelerated heating and ECO mode. The device is only designed for vertical installation and operation with hydraulic pressure at the inlet pipe from 0.2 to 8 bar.
