Heating solid fuel boiler of the Atmos DC series, using wood as the prescribed fuel. The useful thermal power of the model becomes 20 kW, which allows heating a room of about 200 m². Thanks to the technology of burning wood gas, the efficiency of the model reaches 89%. In this case, the average fuel consumption becomes 5 kg. wood per hour. The device is equipped with a system for automatic shutdown of the boiler after the fuel burns out.

I decided to give up gas heating, because it became very burdensome to pay bills at the new prices. Since I live near the forest and it is not at all difficult to prepare or buy firewood inexpensively, I also wanted to buy a gas-generating boiler, or as it is also called pyrolysis. It turned out to be an expensive pleasure, because almost all boilers on the market are imported. I chose the Czech Atmos from a well-known European manufacturer of solid fuel boilers. The pyrolysis mechanism of the boiler gives excellent efficiency. Ordinary solid fuel boilers lose about 15-20%, and for the heating season this will be a decent amount. One download is enough for a very long time, in fact, for 8-10 hours. It turns out that in frost, a neighbor in a conventional solid fuel boiler makes two or three loads per day, and two is more than enough for me. Management is convenient, simple and clear. I read the instructions in you can run. Can work without electricity. Without a fan, it can operate at a power reduced by a third. The combustion chamber, heat exchanger and smoke channels are easy to clean. Ashes do not have to be cleaned often, thanks to the large ash pan. There is an emergency cooling circuit, I really never connected it. The boiler doors are fitted smartly, the smoke does not pass at all. My front doors are not so well set up. The price is immodest. A good domestic solid fuel boiler would cost half as much. But here, having spent once, you get serious savings for many years, so the price is justified. Raw firewood is not recommended. A good option for a wood-fired boiler. And a large firebox is an additional plus, which allows you to throw firewood less often. For almost waste-free burning of wood - one of the best options, in my opinion. Large fuel hopper. You can burn large logs without having to saw or chop them. There is an automatic shut-off after all the fuel is burned. This means you can load the boiler with logs and go to sleep or for a walk. When the logs are burned out – the boiler will turn off, you don't need to check it every half an hour. Easy to clean. There is a special ceramic chamber for ash at the bottom, with a capacity that is sufficient for cleaning once a week when burning logs. However, if burning coal, the chamber needs to be cleaned once a day. Convenient fan operation control panel. If there is no power and the fan is not working, the boiler still operates at reduced power. In a cottage settlement, where there are sometimes issues in winter, this is extremely helpful. Works best on wood, and generally not adapted to work on gas. |
