I have been using my smartphone for six months. I like the way it feels in the hand, bright and smooth screen, fast, excellent photo and video quality. I don’t play heavy games, but those that I have installed (mostly strategies and three in a row) pull perfectly with good graphics. From morning to evening on working days, he lives quietly, and on weekends, when I spend a lot of screen time, I need to recharge a little. In general, I am satisfied with the smartphone. During video shooting in high resolution, it heats up, such a feature of the processor. Screen, cameras, reverse charging, dust and water protection Heated use Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus few months |
for 20 years, I was a loyal fan of the Sony brand up until the end of 2020, starting with my use of their phones. Eventually, my last Xperia Z5 Dual completely fell apart, and I was looking for some alternative among Sony devices. Unfortunately, I couldn't find exactly what I wanted today; it seems to me that Sony is losing its edge in this direction. Plus, the price is astronomical for a flagship phone. I've started looking towards Samsung, and the S20 intrigued me. I've read a lot of reviews and watched many overviews. The choice became obvious; I will switch to Samsung. In my use of this phone, the battery lasts: 1. For one and a half days with intensive use. 2. For two days in normal mode. I consider this an excellent result. The phone is set up for Russia, updates arrive, Pay works without problems, as do all Samsung applications. There are no Chinese characters. There is 5G, but there's no opportunity to test it in our country yet. I hope it will work here soon. I really like the facial recognition unlocking, although sometimes it doesn't work (fails to recognize). But this is in 10% of cases out of 100% (not critical). I hope future firmware updates will fix this. In the dark, the unlocking works just as well as in the light. The fingerprint unlocking works perfectly! Link to my video review https://youtu. Screen, cameras, size, functionality, quality, battery, silicone case included for Snapdragon (Hong Kong version). Not found yet. ![]() |
I spent a long time choosing a smartphone from top models. By tactile feel, I liked this one more. The size is good, making it convenient to watch videos. Excellent stereo sound! This aspect pleases me. When trying to switch to something cooler, I can't find such models at a similar price. Screen and 120Hz - it's very pleasant to look at this smartphone. Eyes don't get tired, nothing is annoying. The battery is quite capacious, it can last a day. I liked the fast charging - with a 3A cable in 30 minutes = 100%. The camera takes beautiful and vibrant photos. The video isn't top-notch, but decent for a smartphone. No complaints about the hardware. Everything needed is done quickly and without freezes. - The fingerprint scanner on the screen is very unresponsive. It doesn't work on the first try. It might not work at all. I disabled this feature after 3 days. - The face scanner via the camera works poorly in the evening and at night. It may not work at all since there is no IR illumination like on cheaper Xiaomi models. (They got it right there) - They could have put a larger battery. 5000 mAh would be enough for the whole day with a margin, so you don't have to look for a charger during the day. ![]() |
"Size matters" — sure on the sidelines of Samsung. That is why the Galaxy S20 flagship is harmoniously complemented by an enlarged brother with the Plus prefix in the full naming of the model.
Dynamic AMOLED screen
The main difference between the “plus” version of the smartphone and the base one lies in the size of the case and, of course, the diagonal of the screen. The gadget uses a run-in technique with curved display sides and a hole in the upper segment for a 10 MP front camera lens. Screen Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus has a size of 6.7" diagonally and displays a picture at a maximum resolution of 3200x1440 pixels. Moreover, it boasts a high refresh rate (120 Hz in FullHD +) and support for HDR10 + technology.
Backlog for the future
Inside, as expected, there is hardware with a solid power reserve for the long term: a 7-nanometer Exynos 990 chipset (or the 865th dragon in the version for the US market), 8/12 GB of RAM and a fast UFS 3.0 internal drive with a volume 128 GB. All this wealth, along with a capacious battery (4500 mAh), an NFC chip and an under-screen fingerprint sensor, is packed in a glass case with a claimed degree of water protection IP68.
Golden mean
The absence of a separate headphone output can spoil the impression of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, so you will either have to fiddle with USB-C adapters or buy wireless headphones. However, more and more smartphones are following this path every day. Much more interesting are the photographic ambitions of the flagship. The smartphone was armed with a 12 + 12 + 64 + 0.3 MP quad camera. There is no longer a variable aperture lens in its design, which is compensated by the large physical dimensions of the leading image sensor. Also, the main photomodule of the device was taught to shoot video in 8K resolution (with a frame rate of 30 fps). The model is located exactly in the middle between the base Galaxy S20 and the ultra-charged Galaxy S20 Ultra. Both in terms of on-board equipment, and in terms of cost.
