The Samsung 870 QVO is built on the Samsung MKX controller and uses four-bit 3D QLC NAND memory.

For improved performance in active writing tasks, it employs the Intelligent TurboWrite technology: with dynamic SLC caching, a buffer of up to 78 GB ensures steady performance even with large data volumes. Built-in DRAM buffering of 8 GB helps maintain stable access speeds under multitasking loads—up to 98,000 IOPS for reading and 88,000 for writing.
