From the very beginning, when purchasing this lens, I understood that it is not for everyone. Its large size, low aperture, and considerable price are all outweighed by its versatility, image quality, sharpness, and the presence of stabilization, which more than compensate for all its shortcomings. I travel a lot across Russia, with various tasks, and often need to take photos during trips. Since it's impossible to carry multiple lenses, after a brief test, I chose the 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS and have never regretted it. I don't aim to achieve a beautiful background blur; the photos need to be clear and sharp, and the lens universal. I have achieved all of this. In practice, in low-light conditions, the lens performed very well, details are not lost, focusing speed is not reduced, and the built-in optical stabilizer allows for longer exposures. The Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS is an all-in-one lens with room to grow. From the start, it can be hooked onto the “carcass” of a Sony mirrorless camera with an APS-C sensor, and as the fleet of photographic equipment is updated, it can be transferred to a mirrorless full frame of the Japanese brand.
