Multi-purpose "wide-angle" from the top line of full-frame mirrorless optics G Master. Shooting on the lens is carried out in the range of focal lengths of 16-35 mm with a consistently high aperture of f / 2.8 throughout the entire zoom range. The Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM draws a sharp picture already from the open aperture, which has an 11-blade design with rounded edges. By the nature of the blurring of the background, only a few competitors can compete on equal terms with the model.

In the "gut" of the lens, two Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave motors are installed, which move the heavy lenses of the optical circuit quickly, silently and with high accuracy. The lens is focused on sharpness from a minimum focus distance of 28 cm. The model uses Sony Nano AR proprietary coating to reduce glare and reflections, the front lens of the lens is coated with a fluorite layer to repel water and other liquids. The “wide-angle” is made in a weatherproof case with dimensions of 89x112 mm and a weight of about 680 g.
