Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM FE OSS II (SEL70200GM2)

The second edition of the popular full-frame telephoto lens from Sony, covering a focal length range from 70 to 200 mm and with a constant aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range. The lens has a completely redesigned optical scheme, which now consists of 17 elements in 11 groups. It includes one aspherical XA lens, one classic aspherical element, two ED glasses and two Super ED glasses.

Additionally, the lenses are coated with Nano AR Coating II anti-reflective coating. Thanks to all this, the telephoto lens is sharp from an open aperture and is virtually unaffected by chromatic aberrations. The Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II uses two separate groups of focusing lenses, controlled by dual linear XD motors. Videographers will appreciate the minimized “breathing effect” and reduced focus shift when zooming. The telephoto lens also features the SteadyShot optical image stabilization system. The lens is compatible with teleconverters (x1.4 and x2.0), has a thread for 77 mm diameter filters, and a separate aperture control ring with a choice of smooth or stepped movement. The zoom lens weighs 1045 g.
