A Zeiss lens with a universal set of 24-105mm equivalent focal lengths and the same aperture of f/4 throughout the entire zoom range. Designed for photo and video shooting on cropped Sony mirrorless cameras with an APS-C image sensor. The most widespread among them were the cameras of the “six thousandth” Alpha product line. The lens is built according to the proprietary "Zeiss" optical scheme Vario-Tessar.

Good creative lens. Compared to competitors, it gives a more contrasting picture and better sharpness across the frame. Very high resolution and sharpness. Filmed on a 42 megapixel camera. There the difference is obvious. f4. Of course it would be possible to do 2.8. But those 2.8 that are available for this money do not provide such sharpness or such contrast.
