If a noise level of 37 dB is not critical, and good airflow because the best among 6TB does not exist yet. There are 3 HDDs of 6TB released in March 2017 - they show a heating of 53-55 degrees, a few days ago I bought another one made in May 2017 with a sensor heating up to 48 degrees, what is this - probably they changed the firmware?? The main thing is the speed of work - best in class 6 TB Strong heating, in NAS Asustor 6210T up to 55 degrees; Under heavy load, it's somewhat noisy for home use - it buzzes loudly use WD Red Pro month or more |
The 8TB drive is very noisy. It crackles during use. If you are buying it for a home NAS, place it somewhere away from where someone sleeps. Volume Noise  MrG0d: use WD WD8003FFBX less than month |
