The first Franke sink appeared in our kitchen about a decade and a half ago when few people here had even heard of the company. It was a textured round stamping in shape. All this time, it served faithfully. And if it weren't for the total replacement of the kitchen furniture, it would still be in use, but the time for change has come. My wife insisted on getting a sink with a deep rectangular bowl and an additional side "table" this time. In her opinion, such shapes are practical, and looking at the new item, I completely agree with her. The large size of the bowl holds a lot of utensils. Indeed, a deep and rectangular shape turned out to be much more practical than a round one. Although the latter, due to a thinner false rim and a more aesthetic shape, is much prettier. But, since the kitchen is the kingdom of the wife, she got the right to decide. Like our previous Franke, the surface of this specimen is not smooth, but microtextured. Such a small relief perfectly masks small scratches, specks and traces of dried water. The thickness of the metal (0.8 mm) was not enough to withstand the impact. I tell you: a metal, or rather a weighty cast-iron, meat grinder fell. The height of the fall was something like 30 centimeters, sometimes a little, but the blow itself became the decisive factor, or rather the head of the large fixing screw, on which the whole blow fell. The dent is quite large and noticeable. To be honest, at this price, thicker, 1.2 mm blanks could have been used. It made a lot of noise from the pressure of the water. To eliminate this annoying flaw, I had to buy a special self-adhesive sound insulation. |
