Bought this set on occasion and have been using it for about a year. It helps me not only in the garage, but also a useful thing for the house. Last month, with his help, I independently disassembled and repaired a washing machine. A set of sockets of the most common size (from 8 to 22 millimeters) and elongated heads (from 8 to 19 mm). Two spark plug sockets, a small but useful set of slotted, cross and torx bits, 75mm and 150mm rigid extensions. I liked the key with a ratchet and a latch, a really handy thing. Tool material hardened carbon steel. Judging by the wear of commonly used socket heads, or rather by its absence, the steel is of high quality and its hardening was done correctly. Of course, chrome-vanadium steel would be even better, but tools made of such an alloy are noticeably more expensive. To protect against corrosion, the tool has a shiny chrome plating, which was applied by galvanizing. It protects well from moisture, but it is not stainless steel, so it is undesirable to wipe drops of water with a rag before storing. Not the best quality plastic case. It seems to hold the tool and the thickness of the plastic is sufficient, but the workmanship is low and it looks sloppy. I already regretted that I did not take a set with a flexible extension cord, it would be very useful. |
