Car owners nowadays usually don't bother with repairing their cars themselves and just go to the service center. Indeed, for those who are not mechanically inclined, that's probably the best option. But for those who are handy, it's not so straightforward. There are many types of work I can do myself, especially since I have a good garage. Sure, it takes my time, but earning money for servicing in a repair shop also takes time. Plus, the quality of "work orders" is also an extra consideration. Personally, I know the kind of "butterfingered" workers that sometimes operate in small private, and occasionally even in renowned official service centers. So, without knowing the shop where you'll be getting repairs done, you could simply end up "wasting money." Therefore, I only turn to professional service centers for truly serious problems that I can't solve myself (like a recent windshield replacement). But for things like oil change, brake disc replacement, and other minor tasks, I prefer to do them myself with the help of this kind of set. The set is really big, with 108 pieces. A good selection of sockets (10-32 mm) for half-inch mounting, two extensions with pivoting heads at 125mm and 250mm, adapters, and a universal joint. I really liked the two ratchet handles with a ratchet mechanism. They feature the ability to release and lock the sockets, which is very convenient. The manufacturer ensured their durability (they have a protective plastic coating) and comfort (there are rubber grips that fit nicely in the hand). There is also a set of sockets for quarter-inch mounting. A wide variety of interchangeable screwdriver bits. A convenient, shockproof plastic case. There's no denying the set is good, but the price isn't exactly friendly. However, compared to the same Stanley sets, it's quite reasonable. )) |
