It may seem strange that 4/3 aspect ratio monitors are still being produced and sold, but it is true. I will say more, there is specialized software with which it is most convenient to work at this particular resolution. It is for this reason that I bought two of these monitors for a dual-monitor configuration. Moreover, the configuration of them was not assembled as usual, when two monitors are placed or hung on brackets next to each other, but vertical. That is, for work it was more convenient to have 2000+ pixels of height of two screens. It can be argued that 2160 pixels can actually be obtained within a single 4K matrix, but here two important factors come to the fore: the physical size of the pixel (dots are very small at 4K) and cost. These are simple and inexpensive monitors that are best described as workhorses. Nobody will ever buy them for gaming. The fate of such diagonals and resolutions is a typewriter-type PC or special terminal systems. There are few advantages, but they are there and sometimes you can’t do without them. The first is a large and well-visible pixel. It is needed for older applications and systems that do not know how to scale the interface. By the way, normal scaling only started with Win 7. Secondly, he has a simple and not tiring matrix. Its color reproduction is so-so, but there is a normal contrast, an anti-reflective matte finish and it does not flicker. And finally, this monitor has a long three-year warranty. Only VGA connection, no DVI, let alone HDMI inputs. For a multi-monitor configuration, this is a serious disadvantage, because it is not easy to find a modern video card with two analog outputs. Not very good viewing angles, which are especially noticeable in a vertical dual-monitor configuration. |
