I bought an Asus tuf b450 pro gaming motherboard, in Rozetka, one fine day the PC stopped turning on, sent it under warranty, an application for warranty repair AK560035, three weeks later, they called and said that they had repaired it. the same is not in working order as it was. At home, there are two systems on such boards, one is my sons, the other is mine, in order to make sure that the problem is in the board, then, in addition to the native components, all the components were removed from my system and installed on this board. How and it was expected that a miracle did not happen and the PC never starts, it beeps one long three short beeps. What should I do, send it back to the service, wait three weeks, get it again not working and so on in a circle ad infinitum until the warranty period ends? general divorce with a guarantee. Excellent motherboard. Personally, it suits me in all aspects (except for the removable backplate - it's time to move away from those metal pieces in 2020). The motherboard works with: Ryzen 5 2600, RX 580 4Gb, 2*8 DDR4 3200 frequency. The case is well-ventilated. During load, the heatsinks on the power chains are not hot - I can freely hold my fingers on the heatsinks. The BIOS is intuitive and clear. I overclocked the memory without issues from 3000 to 3200 (only with the XMP profile, didn't fine-tune the timings). The board has thick PCB, reinforced slot for the graphics card, direct M.2 slot operation with the processor, pleasant and non-flashy lighting (adjustable). I don't know about overclocking 8 cores (I haven't tried it personally), but a friend's setup runs a Ryzen 7 3700 stock without problems and overheating. Great price. p.s. Something on this site is mixed up regarding USB ports. Site editors, please check with the official site. Personally, I was a little disappointed that there's no USB 3.2 gen2. According to the official site, on the rear panel of the board: USB 2.0 *2 pcs., USB 3.1 gen1 *2 pcs., USB 3.1 gen2 *2 pcs., USB 3.1 gen1 (Type-C) *1 pc. Price quality. Enhanced Reliability
ASUS has taken a liking to the B450 chipset and has managed to release some interesting gaming boards from the ROG series on it. In contrast to them, the new board belongs to the Asus TUF series, the distinctive feature of which is increased reliability.
Improvements to all board components
Looking at the card under a microscope, the increased reliability comes from more transistors in the power subsystem, a modified VRM heatsink, and improved chokes. The reinforced PCI-E 16x slot is difficult to include in this list, since it is found in every second board based on the B450 chipset with a price tag above $120. In addition, Asus promises many small improvements to the batteries, cooling system, and in general, virtually all important components of the board.
Top audio codec
In terms of equipment, this is a fairly standard mid-range board with 4 DDR4 slots, the ability to install two video cards, USB 3.1 gen2 support, a modern set of video outputs and two M.2 slots for installing fast SSD drives. The last one is a bit strange, since boards based on the B450 chip usually have two M.2 connectors. The number of additional features of the board is minimized, its main task is to drive reliably. We can only note an improved version of the Realtek ALC887 codec and backlight synchronization using the Asus Aura Sync utility.
Only works with Ryzen
Of the unsuccessful engineering decisions, it is worth highlighting the inconvenient connection of multi-channel acoustics and reduced support for CPUs: the board supports AMD Ryzen chips of the first or second generation, but will not work with AMD A and Athlon processors for Socket AM4.
