Flat storage premium electric water heater with a volume of 80 liters with two internal Dual Tanks and multifunctional digital control with support for intelligent SMART mode. Refers to the models of the upper price category of 2016. It differs from most inexpensive boilers with a wide cylindrical body by the use of flat internal tanks. The device can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
The advantages of the Atlantic Vertigo Steatite 100 water heater also include a case depth reduced to 27 cm, thanks to which it can be installed in rooms with a shortage of free space. Two "dry" steatite tubular heaters guarantee high heat transfer efficiency throughout the entire operating life and reduce the formation of scale. It is important that if any of them fails, then complete disassembly is not required for replacement (replacement of the heating element without dismantling the flange).
The water heater can operate in four main modes, one of which is called intelligent (in the first seven days, the boiler captures the user's habits and, in the future, adjusts to them, reducing the average daily electricity consumption). To minimize heat losses, the device is equipped with reliable polyurethane foam insulation. Both internal tanks are protected by durable enamel and additional magnesium anodes.
Always clarify the specifications and configuration of the product with the online store manager before purchasing.

A small boiler was needed in the kitchen. We thought, figured it out and decided to stop at a 25-30 liter model. But since it was impossible to hide it in a locker, and my missus has her own strong beliefs about the aesthetics of the kitchen, the choice of a specific device was delayed. The wife found this handsome man on her own, he has a really interesting author's design and an indecently high price tag. It heats up quite quickly. The capacity is modest, 25 liters, and two special "dry" tubular electric heaters warm it up quite fast. This is aided by the construction consisting of two interconnected tanks. The total power of the heaters is 1000 W, so they do not heavily load the electrical network (the same electric kettle is about 2.5 times more powerful). The tanks inside the stylish case are made of sheet steel and have double corrosion protection. Firstly, they are coated with a layer of special enamel, and secondly, they are protected by a soluble magnesium anode. The heaters here are also not simple but steatite, which completely eliminates the risk of electrical voltage hitting the heater casing. The control scheme is digital, with a trendy and clear LED display. It provides both simple manual temperature adjustment and SMART mode, in which the water heater automatically adapts to the users' habits. Very high cost due to the unique design, modern technical solutions, and the positioning of this model as premium. The claimed "super-accurate" electronic thermostat is not that accurate in reality, with an absolute error of more than five degrees, although it displays the relative temperature correctly. |

The first Atlantic electric water heaters went public over four decades ago. Since then, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, but the main thing has remained unchanged — the French manufacturer of climate technology relies on innovation, while taking into account the baggage of accumulated experience behind it.
Not like everyone else
The dandy Atlantic Vertigo 100 Steatite turned out to be different from most of its relatives. And the point here is not even in the external appearance, which is exceptionally good for the model, but in the design features of the device. In the depths of its narrow body (29 cm deep) two steel tanks with “dry” heating elements are adjacent. Together they deliver 2250 watts of power. The heating elements are protected from contact with water by an enamelled flask. Additional protection against corrosion in the appendage is provided by magnesium anodes — one near each heating element.
Functionality
The charm of the model in the external image is given by a grey vertical strip along the front panel. Part of it was "bitten off" for its own needs by the command post for controlling the boiler with a mechanical rotary regulator at the head. In the minimum position of the “twist”, the water heater switches to the “Anti-freeze” mode (maintaining a temperature of 7 °C in case of downtime in a poorly heated room). Also, with its help, the desired water heating temperature is set (within the range from 50 °C to 70 °C) and the intelligent control mode is turned on. During the first week of operation, the boiler remembers the intensity of water consumption during the day and subsequently automatically selects the temperature of hot water, adapted to the level of use by consumers.
Turbo heating
A separate touch button on the control panel of the device activates the Boost fast heating mode. It is designed to prepare several “portions” of hot water for taking a shower. The boiler prepares enough water for one person in turbo mode in just half an hour. In pursuit of the model takes its versatility of installation and good thermal insulation. Not the most democratic price tag can spoil the impression of it, however, in this case, the water heater more than fulfills every penny spent on it.
A price tag of 9700 UAH kind of hints that you're a king of hot water or an emperor of heating with good visual taste. The installer of the boiler called it the Mercedes in the world of boilers and said that repairs for them are extremely rare, almost never break down (installers if they see a bad boiler, which will break down in 3-5 months, they will not say about it and will remain silent, because if you say it, the client will just cancel the installation).
Well, okay. The intro is a niche with a width of 570 mm (the riser was closed with tiles) and a thin brick wall. The choice fell on a rectangular format so that the center of gravity would be close to the wall and not tower over the head when you have to sit on the toilet, since the toilet is very small in an old Soviet nine-story building, and there is simply nowhere to hang it in the bathroom, which is also small. The heating element, of course, was desired to be dry, it's better than a wet one. Better how? Than the wet one.
I was choosing between the Klima hitze Flat FUD 8020/2h MR and Atlantic Vertigo Steatite 100, ultimately choosing Vertigo, but decided to find the same boiler cheaper, eventually found a discounted one for 7300 UAH, with a little, barely noticeable scratch on the paint at the top at the back. Well, who cares, from the front it’s not visible anyway, and the warranty doesn't void because of this.
Today is December 2018, no complaints, no issues, everything is clear and reliable. At first, the water had a characteristic smell of water heated in a new boiler, but then the smell quickly faded away and now everything is ok.
