A large-sized and high-performance pre-top gaming video card for 2023 with active backlighting, noticeable overclocking, dual BIOS and a complete bracket that will not help to avoid deformation of the case under its own weight. It belongs to the upper part of the mid-price segment and is part of the Gigabyte Aorus line, aimed at demanding gamers, modders and streamers. The accelerator is based on a powerful AD104 graphics processor with 5888 stream processors, factory overclocking to 2565 MHz and support for DirectX 12 Ultimate.

12 GB of GDDR6X video memory allows it to feel comfortable when increasing the gaming resolution from Full HD. Cooling is provided by the proprietary Windforce cooling system based on three fans and a massive radiator penetrated with heat-conducting tubes. A cast casing, a strong frame and a wide backplate give the device additional rigidity, preventing the massive base from squeezing or deforming under its own weight.

The casing is decorated with complex addressable lighting with support for the Gigabyte RGB Fusion synchronization system. In terms of pure gaming performance, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 AORUS MASTER 12G provides smooth gameplay, delivering between 50 and 100 frames per second in 2K, depending on the specific game and the degree to which all graphics settings are cranked to maximum.

For higher resolutions, NVIDIA recommends the older RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 models with 16 and 24 GB of video memory, respectively. Thanks to the upgraded 3rd generation RT cores, it is capable of processing lighting and shadows in games more efficiently and realistically than NVIDIA video cards of the previous and the generation before. Well, tensor cores were taught to work with the optical flow field, thanks to which the quality and efficiency of DLSS supersampling algorithms simultaneously increased.

It is important to note that DLSS 3.0 is exclusive to this generation; previous generations of NVIDIA video cards do not support this technology. When it comes to power consumption, Gigabyte did not limit anything, allowing players to play freely with the original GPU settings. The main thing is that there is enough power, so the manufacturer recommends pairing it with power supplies with a power of at least 700 W. The card also has support for the AV1 encoder, NVIDIA Studio software, Rephlex latency optimizer and other things typical of GeForce RTX 4000 video cards.
