Pre-release characteristics
The eighth edition of Google's Pixel, released in the fall of 2023. What’s noteworthy is that the smartphone is promised a 7-year Android OS update cycle, including security patches. There is no slot for microSD cards in the model's design. Google Pixel 8 256GB is equipped with a 6.2-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (not adaptive). The front panel of the smartphone is covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The main camera of the mobile device consists of a 50 MP leading image sensor with optical stabilization and a 12 MP ultra-wide.
Selfie shots are the prerogative of the 10.8 MP front camera with a lens in an island hole in the center of the upper segment of the screen. In addition, the model has IP68 dust and moisture protection, a modern Wi-Fi 7 wireless communication module, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. A 4485 mAh rechargeable battery with 24-watt wired charging functions and support for wireless technology for replenishing energy reserves (12 W) is responsible for the autonomous power supply of the smartphone.

For 2 weeks of use, I did not notice a single hang, no "glitch". The heating that some write about appeared randomly, that is, not depending on the tasks or the network, although the first days it really heated up like an atomic reactor. The camera is a separate topic for conversations and I am completely satisfied with it, because it does not require any skills in settings - "out of the box" takes great photos, but I never found how to add a watermark in the form of "date and time" to the pictures. The stereo sound here is "average" in quality and is more focused on medium and high frequencies, although the quality is quite pleasant and does not cut the hearing. The speakers are balanced normally. Regarding the screen, there may be contradictions among many users, because some liked it, some not so much. The screen on the Pixel 8 is not as saturated in terms of colors as on my Motorola EDGE 20, but I am completely satisfied with it .The fingerprint scanner works well; but the face scanner will work only in the light, that is, in the dark or twilight, you should not count on it. The materials of the body are pleasant to the touch and of high quality, although in terms of its "slipperiness" - this is the absolute truth and the phone really slippery! Personally, I have the GPJ41 version, which, judging by the information I found, is "global". The network and mobile Internet work without complaints, and for whom it is important, the eSIM from Kyivstar also works, although there was a lot of information about that it is Kyivstar that does not authorize its eSIMs on Google Pixel due to the fact that the phones are not certified in Ukraine. Personally, it worked for me and it makes me very happy - thank you KS) First of all, this is an official product from Google, that is, you can count on long-term software support for 7 years; the phone fits perfectly in the hand and is really pleasant to use. It is a pity that some branded chips do not work in Ukraine, but you can do without them; there are still some subjective flaws that can be critical for someone, and someone will not pay attention to them at all. |

Доброго дня! Хочу собі придбати даний телефон і в мене таке питання: у нас в Україні працюють всі регіони (USA, Japan, EU), чи треба купувати якийсь конкретний регіон? В першу чергу, цікавить саме працездатність мобільної мережі та інтернету, а також працездатність eSim в мережі Київстар. Буду вдячний за відповідь!
