Just returned from the store. I watched this monitor. The first thing that immediately catches your eye is the SHADOWS on the left and right edges of the monitor. It seems that the matrix is a little "drowned" and the edges of the case itself give a shadow and it's terribly infuriating. Plus in the upper left corner "darkened", although I expected light. The whole body backlash and creaks. I strongly do not recommend Color reproduction is good. White point within 6500 All that is described in the comments. Great all-round monitor for work and play. Strong light is not observed, dead pixels too. Fine grain, good color reproduction (IPS) on sRBG, holds 144 Hz on DisplayPort, all necessary cables are included, the presence of a VESA mount. The connectors are directed perpendicular to the plane of the screen, i.e. Cables are directed to the wall, USB is similar + close to the center - not convenient to use. The input lag is generally the smallest on the market - at the moment this model is the champion in this indicator. 1) There is no left-right monitor rotation - how could you save money like that? in Dell monitors 21-22 inches on an IPS matrix from Dell for 160-170 USD there is this feature, but not here

The LG UltraGear 27GL850 is arguably the most advanced gaming monitor to date. Built on a Nano IPS matrix and boasting an honest 1ms GtG hardware response time, none of the competition can boast. Other IPS monitors, such as the cinematic LG UltraGear 34GK950F, have a GtG of 3ms or more, and 1ms is achieved only with software MBR technology.

The screen size of the UltraGear 27GL850-B is a solid 27", the resolution is QuadHD or 2560x1440 pixels (image density 109 PPI), and the refresh rate is 144 Hz. At the same time, two adaptive FPS synchronization technologies are supported in games with a screen refresh rate: AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync. The former works on a PC with a Radeon graphics card and a GeForce 1000 series or higher, while the latter works with a GeForce 600 series and higher.

In addition to the "reactive" response time, the Nano IPS matrix boasts an extended colour gamut of 98 percent DCI-P3 or 135 percent sRGB. This made it possible to implement support for HDR10 technology in the UltraGear 27GL850, which gives a more “juicy” picture in games and movies. Other useful LG technologies have also been implemented: DAS to minimize input lag, Black Stabilizer to better see opponents in the dark, and Crosshair on-screen sight for those in-game weapons where there is no sight.
