During the planning of a new kitchen, a year ago, they expected to take a granite sink. But, as they say, life has made its own adjustments. Of course, there was not enough money for all the Wishlist, and I had to save on washing. Well, not that they bought absolutely nonsense, but there was only enough money for such an economy option from Teka. Yes, it’s budget-friendly, but Teka makes quality even inexpensive things. Actually, that's why they took their product. The sink is small, but for two of us this is exactly what we need. Our kitchen is cramped and putting a larger sink would mean minimizing the work surface, but it is already lacking. It has a decent size wing with stiffeners. As for me, it would be better without him at all, but my wife insisted. Steel is good, high-quality, chromium-nickel. This is used for the manufacture of cutlery, quality pots and even industrial equipment. So you don't have to worry about safety. The surface of the sink is not simple, but textured in a special way. Such a small relief does not interfere with cleaning, but it hides small contaminants well, for example, salts remaining after the water has dried. Made in Spain. Has a three year warranty. The metal is not very thick, which makes itself felt by the noise that any, even not very strong, jet of water produces. It's good that solving problems with noise is a common thing for me (I work in a car service and improving the sound insulation of a car is a common task). I used self-adhesive polyurethane sound-absorbing material, the result is excellent. On as in a faience sink, of course, but also not bad. |

But the thickness of the metal 0.6 mm, although quite high quality, is somewhat frustrating for such a price. The bowl will "play" on contact with the jet of water or a large load, which will be accompanied by a loud noise.
Practicality
The design of the wing is well thought out: the ribs direct water into the sink and at the same time prevent objects laid out for drying from sliding. The configuration of the sides prevents the water from spreading outside the washing area.
The round bowl with a diameter of 410 mm has a depth of 175 mm, this space is enough to conveniently wash large products, such as watermelon, or large-capacity dishes so that splashes do not fly in all directions. At the same time, the dimensions and shape make the sink compact and pleasant to look at.
Teka DR 77 1B 1D is an easy-to-use and visually pleasing model that will suit first of all those who appreciate design and are willing to pay for it. But the thickness, of course, let us down.
