A fairly complete set for a professional electrician. I can’t say that the set is perfect and the whole instrument in it is just so wonderful. But it has everything you need and it's damn convenient. The main tool of an electrician is a screwdriver and there are as many as 11 screwdrivers. Four dielectric (PH1, PH2, Sl4, Sl5.5) with a length of 80 to 100 mm, six precise or, as they are also called, "watch" 50 mm (PH00, PH0, PH1, Sl1.4 Sl2 Sl2. four). The last, eleventh is not quite a screwdriver, but a screwdriver handle with a magnetic bit holder. There are a lot of bits in the kit, as many as 20 pieces, there are all popular formats, including Torx (T8-T27) and HEX (2-6). Also in the set there are 160 mm side cutters and platypuses, a 30-watt soldering iron, a desoldering gun, folding and breaking knives, tweezers, a tape measure and even a small but useful flashlight. But most of all I needed pliers for stripping insulation. This simple and seemingly primitive operation always takes a lot of time, and with these tongs I save at least half. The included multimeter is highly accurate. It seems to me that it is better not to include such a tool in sets, but to buy it separately. Another annoying set of hex keys constantly falling out of the case. |
Electrician tool kit
While most other kits contain only tools for carpentry and plumbing or minor repairs, Yato YT-39009 is aimed primarily at electricians. It has almost everything you might need to fix the electrics in the house (sockets, lamps and junction boxes) or disassemble household appliances and electronics. If in other sets tools for working with fasteners take up most of the suitcase, here they are represented by a relatively modest assortment. There are no conventional wrenches and sockets for large bolts and nuts (therefore, the Yato YT-39009 is unlikely to be suitable, for example, for motorists), but only tools and nozzles for working with relatively small fasteners that are used in electrical appliances and household appliances. The set contains 13 socket heads (4 - 13 mm) and 20 bits (flat, cross, hex and Torx), as well as a screwdriver handle for turning them, an adjustable wrench and 8 allen keys. A set of screwdrivers consists of six precision tools (for working with small screws, such as those used in telephones) and four dielectric ones.
Everything is included: from a stripper and a soldering iron to electrical tape and solder
The set also contains tools for working with cables and wires: long-nose pliers, wire cutters and a stripper (device for stripping insulation). All of them, like the aforementioned dielectric screwdrivers, have insulating handles or inserts that do not break through with voltages up to 1000 V. The case also contains knives (two pieces - clerical and folding), tweezers, tape measure, roll of electrical tape, digital voltage indicator and a flashlight. But what this set is fundamentally different from all the others is the presence of a 30 W soldering iron with a thin tip that heats up to 400 ° C, and a set of consumables (tin and a syringe for desoldering). It is also important to note that the kit includes a Yato YT-73080 multimeter (however, it is a “household” class device and has mediocre accuracy, so professional electricians are unlikely to use it as the main tool).
The Yato YT-39009 set is packaged in a compact plastic case with metal hinges and latches. It is not bad in quality, but it should be mentioned that some tools that are allocated a place in the cover of the case do not hold very tightly in their sockets and can fall out of them.
