Design
Series A from Samsung is not in vain popular with buyers, as it offers not too expensive devices at affordable prices. And the Galaxy A51 is no exception. When you look at it, the design immediately catches your eye, or rather, the unusual pattern of the back panel. It is divided by diagonal lines into several zones, each of which has its own shade. Both the frame and the lid are made of plastic, but the latter imitates glass quite well, so the handset does not look cheap. And the smartphone itself is quite comfortable in the hand, including due to its small thickness (7.9 mm) and weight (172 g).
Almost the entire front panel (87%) is occupied by a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, surrounded by thin bezels, with a neat round cutout for the front camera. It has excellent colour reproduction with rich colours, so the model gets a solid five for the screen. What can not be said about the fingerprint scanner. It is hidden under the display, like most more expensive phones, but it works much slower than classic capacitive scanners. In addition, it is quite fastidious: in the cold, with wet hands and in a hurry, when the finger is not placed strictly along the contour, the sensor may not immediately unlock the device.
Middle level
Inside, a proprietary Exynos 9611 processor is installed, which replaced the Exynos 9610, but has not received any major improvements. Its performance leaves much to be desired: on average, it is enough for everyday work, but with heavier tasks and modern games it can be a problem. Although it is unlikely that at such a price one should hope for some kind of superpowers. This also applies to the camera: the main one consists of four modules (48 MP + 12 MP "wide" with a viewing angle of 123 degrees + 5 MP macro lens + 5 MP depth sensor). She does not have enough stars from the sky, but she is quite capable of capturing some pleasant moment for the family archive. It is complemented by a 32-megapixel front camera, which takes good selfies for the social media feed. By the way, the sensors of the main camera are located in the form of the letter L in a rectangular block, and this design looks quite interesting. Although this is, of course, a matter of taste and preference.
In terms of battery life, nothing outstanding either: a 4000 mAh battery and 15 W charging. With normal use, one charge should last for a day and a half. But other useful little things cannot but rejoice: NFC, 3.5 headphone jack, a tray for two SIM cards and a microSD memory card at the same time, and a headset in the kit (albeit of low quality).
