Flagship high performance 16-core desktop processor based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture (Vermeer core, 7nm). Designed for installation in motherboards equipped with AMD AM4 processor socket and AMD 500 series chipsets (compatibility with motherboards based on B450/X470 chipsets depends on the manufacturer). It is the top representative of the third generation of the 2020 AMD Ryzen family of consumer CPUs.
Unlike the 16-core model of the second generation, this processor has improved internal design (the transition to a two-chip layout has reduced inter-core delays) and significantly improved the architecture of functional blocks, which increased the specific performance (up to + 19% IPC). Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) technology allows each of the 16 physical cores of the AMD Ryzen 9 Vermeer processor to run two threads simultaneously (up to 32 threads).

Купував за 15 тисяч взимку 2021. Навіть зараз процесор конкурентноздатний. Так, споживав в мене в пікові моменти 170 Ват, в середньому 110 у дуже вимогливих іграх. Але в парі з хорошою відеокартою якої в мене немає він може гарно розкриватись. Для свого розміру die та на свій час він дуже потужний Чудес не існує, і ботлнек може досягатись при 26-30 використання процесора в ДЕЯКИХ сучасних іграх. The main thing is to clean it carefully since it's been 16 months without changing the thermal paste, so the only downside is the risk of damaging the pins during this process.
