Compactness and lightness

The first emotion that arises in everyone who picks up the Metabo WEA 19-180 Quick RT grinder is the delight of its low weight. It weighs only 2.7 kg – almost half as much as other grinders in its class. This angle grinder, of course, is not the most powerful (1900 W of power consumption and 1240 W of output), but its lightness and compactness make it one of the most interesting models among medium-sized grinders designed to work with cutting wheels with a diameter of up to 180 mm. Thanks to a very small gearbox that hardly protrudes from the spindle, the angle grinder can make cuts as deep as large angle grinders designed for discs with a diameter of 230 mm.

Generous hardware

The manufacturer did not stint on mechanisms and electronic modules, "packing" almost everything that could be thought of in a compact and convenient case. The grinder is equipped with a "soft start" function and electronics that maintain constant speed under load. A safety clutch instantly stops the spindle when the disc jams, and an anti-vibration system (which consists of a balancer and a vibration-absorbing handle) reduces fatigue during operation. The keyless blade change is also a great time-saver for jobs that require frequent tool changes.

Save or not?

"Full hardware" affected the cost of the grinder — it is far from cheap. If you want to save money, you can buy almost exactly the same Metabo WE 19-180 Quick RT 601088000 angle grinder, which costs $20 less due to the lack of an anti-vibration system, or choose one of the many other Metabo angle grinders.
