At the Apple Wonderlust presentation, two updated models of smart watches were presented, and the Watch Ultra 2 model is of the greatest interest. This smart watch from Apple continues to be the flagship model with a large flat screen, high reliability and increased battery life. Apple positions them as a stylish, reliable and useful tool for athletes, extreme sports enthusiasts, travelers and divers.
New Apple S9 processor and U2 support chip
The key innovation in this generation of smartwatches is the powerful Apple S9 processor, which significantly improves system performance. Apple says Siri is now 30% faster thanks to this processor. The Watch Ultra 2 also replaced the outdated U1 chip with a more modern U2 processor, which improved the quality of navigation and communication. With this chip, the smartwatch can communicate more effectively with other Apple devices, such as locating a lost iPhone with greater accuracy or instantly communicating with the HomePod smart speaker. The screen has also been improved: its brightness can reach 3,000 nits, there is support for modular watch faces, and night mode can now be automatically switched using a light sensor. In addition, the smartwatch received a software side button, and now it can recognize a new gesture - double tapping with the index finger and thumb.
Protection from any adversity
The Watch Ultra 2 continues to be a rugged, powerful and reliable watch with a durable MIL-STD-810H titanium case and durable sapphire crystal that are resistant to drops, extreme temperatures, dust, dirt and water. The presentation noted that they can withstand immersion to depths of up to 40 meters, which makes them suitable for diving. For athletes and health tracking, it has a built-in pulse oximeter, ECG sensor, thermometer, barometer, altimeter, depth gauge and much more. In addition, the smart watch is equipped with a Crash Detection system and a loud built-in siren for emergency situations. The claimed battery life of the Watch Ultra 2 is 36 hours.
