TurboBoost / TurboCore capable processors
Turbo mode
— processor support for Turbo Boost or Turbo Core. The fundamental difference between Turbo Boost and Turbo Core is only in the name (the first option is used by Intel, the second by AMD). The principle of operation in both cases is the same: the processor monitors the load on individual cores and, if necessary, transfers part of the tasks from more loaded cores to less loaded ones. This optimization allows you to increase performance without a significant increase in power consumption and heat dissipation. At the same time, in modern processors, Turbo mode is usually turned on and off automatically, the user only needs to choose in the BIOS settings whether to use or not use this feature.
